On Thursday October 16 at 5 pm MST / 7 pm EST I am a guest in an online series hosted by The Brown Homestead. Seeds of Change: Agricultural History Speaker Series

In this completely virtual event (via Zoom), I will share poetry from Farm : Lot 23 and talk about my relationship to the farmland where I grew up.

Then, I'll will invite those in attendance to spend time remembering and writing about a childhood relationship to land. Maybe it's one memory in particular, tasting an apple right off the tree, or the morning doves that woke you up or the sticky feeling of dandelion milk drying on your fingers.

At The Brown Homestead, they believe that historic sites reach their full potential when they are vibrant community spaces that nurture a growing passion for learning. The Brown Homestead is a model of how historic sites can become creative educational leaders and community catalysts, helping to redefine educational paradigms for a changing world.
